& Mass Storage
In addition to the ongoing requirement for pointing and scrolling
devices on mobile PCs, there is now a growing number of PC applications
that are using fingerprint biometrics for convenient, multi-factor
authentication. Fingerprint biometrics provide a convenient
and secure method for managing passwords and logins. Government
requirements are adding fuel to the trend by recommending the
use of multi-factor authentication to reduce identity theft for
on-line banking and commercial transactions. Businesses
are adding biometrics to protect facilities and valuable confidential
information. In addition, vertical applications such as
hospital information management are incorporating biometrics
in order to comply with government privacy and record-keeping
requirements.
Atrua and our partners provide a number of fingerprint modules
