Varatouch Enhances Handheld Applications with new Analog Input Devices

New Orleans, LA-March 15, 2005. Varatouch, the leading designer of innovative input devices for consumer electronics products announced today that it has successfully ported its' analog input device drivers to the Texas Instruments Incorporated's (TI's) OMAP™ platform. This gives handset manufacturers the ability to leverage Varatouch's Vsense™ technology and TI's OMAP processors for next generation handset designs.

The combination of Vsense control solutions such as analog joysticks and navigation disks enables intuitive interaction for the consumer. This delivers improved intuition and end-user satisfaction when compared to the existing digital dome switches prevalent today. Varatouch's new human interface components address the emerging trends in handsets and will enhance a variety of mobile device applications including gaming, GPS, menu navigation and others.
