ATRUA CONTINUES GROWTH MOMENTUM WITH GLOBAL CORPORATE EXPANSION
CAMPBELL, Calif., May 2, 2005 - Atrua Technologies,
Inc. (www.atrua.com), the pioneer and
foremost innovator of Intelligent Touch Controls™ for mobile phones
and other mobile devices, today announced a corporate expansion in response
to strong global demand for its industry-leading touch control solutions.
Ray Holzworth, who formerly headed operations at Transmeta Corporation,
has joined Atrua as vice president of operations and Doug McArthur, formerly
Fujitsu’s director of Biometric Sensor Products Group, has joined
the company as director of marketing for computing and embedded solutions.
Atrua has also expanded its global presence by opening a local sales and
technical support center in Taiwan.
In addition to his role as vice president of operations at Transmeta,
Holzworth has held senior leadership positions in operations and engineering
at Advanced Micro Devices, Triscend, and Harris Semiconductor. “Ray’s
extensive background in high-volume semiconductor operations is a tremendous
addition to our strong management team. Ray’s expertise enables
us to continue expanding operations to address the enthusiastic customer
response we are receiving to our unique touch-control solutions,”
said Anthony Gioeli, president and CEO of Atrua.
“The opening of our office in Taiwan increases our operations,
sales, and technical support capabilities in that important region,”
added Gioeli. The recently opened Taiwan office adds to Atrua’s
other global offices including Japan, Singapore, and Belgium. Atrua recently
announced partnerships in China with mobile phone manufacturer Yulong
and mobile software provider Pollex Mobile, formerly Hopen Mobile, and
in Europe with mobile network operator Swisscom Mobile.
Atrua’s highly efficient embedded solutions enable customers to
create new applications for touch controls and deliver products that perform
better, cost less, and consume less power. Atrua’s Intelligent Touch
Control features also provide the company’s Intelligent Fingerprint
Recognition capability, which provides fingerprint recognition accuracy

McArthur, formerly director of Fujitsu’s Biometric Sensor Products
Group, joins Atrua’s marketing team as director of computing and
embedded security to help the company address the market demand for these
