AuthenTec Earns ISO 9001:2008 Certification

- Underscores commitment to hardware and software product quality and reliability 

MELBOURNE, Fla., April 20, 2009 – AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH), the world’s leading provider of smart fingerprint sensors and solutions, announced today that the Company has earned the coveted ISO 9001:2008 certification.  The certification demonstrates AuthenTec’s commitment to quality in every aspect of its business in the design, development, marketing and sale of fingerprint hardware and software solutions.

The ISO certification process included a thorough audit and analysis of AuthenTec’s processes including hardware and software product engineering & design; package development; application support; quality management systems and quality validation; and product reliability and launch.  Det Norske Veritas Certification, Inc. (DNV) led the audit and certification process.
