Adaptive Capacitance™ - the Only Made-for-Mobile Sensor Technology
Adaptive Capacitance™ is Atrua’s exclusive, patented fingerprint sensor technology. Extremely low power, high clarity and made-for-mobile, Atrua’s Adaptive Capacitance technology dynamically adjusts to the wide range of constantly changing finger conditions and the continuous variations in temperature and humidity that users experience when going between indoor and outdoor conditions, as the weather changes and with climate changes that occur when traveling.
Adaptive Capacitance™ utilizes the physics of capacitive coupling to gather highly accurate information on the smallest features of the finger by measuring the capacitance between the sensor pixel plates and the virtual capacitive plate of the finger. This super sensitive solution is constantly monitoring and adapting as finger conditions change.
Atrua’s ultra-low power approach doesn’t need a high current drive ring nor does it force designers to deal with challenging and development-delaying EMI/EMC issues due to radiated RF signals.
